DAVID ROTHKOPF

Guitar | Bass | Piano | Drums

DENVER STUDIO & ONLINE

David teaches guitar, bass, beginner piano and beginner drums. He first started on drums as a youngster, playing Beatles covers with his dad. During his teens he got into pop/punk and expanded his repertoire to include other instruments. Today he likes playing and teaching in all different styles.

David wants students to have fun; learning songs they like in a relaxed atmosphere. He also seeks to help students gain a solid foundation in music theory including reading music, and understanding scales, chords, harmony, melody, and last but not least, rhythm.

By combining joy and raw emotions with the logical understanding of music theory, he believes we can uniquely express ourselves on our instruments and be the best musicians we can be.

EVAN JELLEY

CENTENNIAL STUDIO & ONLINE

Evan Jelley is a Colorado based singer-songwriter, pianist, and producer. Evan’s two primary loves in music (and teaching) are piano and songwriting. As a pianist, he plays a wide range of styles but is most commonly drawn to classical (especially baroque) and jazz. As a songwriter, he draws influence from genres as disparate as 60s folk revival and early hip hop.

Evan’s teaching style is conscientious, engaging, goal oriented, and encouraging. He believes that establishing fundamentals in both technique, theory, and expression allow students the possibility for optimal enjoyment of their instrument for years to come. Relying primarily on intrinsic reward systems along with external strategies, he makes enjoyment of music and the satisfaction of achievement the central engine for a student’s success.
